HAPPY BESDAY PAPAYA...

13th May was our dearest Papa's birthday. Yg ke berapa tu? hehehe...dh mula beruban lah jugak..tapi msh tetap ensem dn bergaya seperti dulu..just that he's a bit darker. (amboi bkn main lg ye critic org)

Since Mama mia didn't know how to bake cakes for Papa (we even don't have an oven), so Mama mia decided to order some cupcakes for teatime that day. 3 days before Papa's birthday, Mama mia ordered 16 cupcakes. The yummy cakes were delivered bout 5 pm that day, only half an hour before Chichi and Papa returned home. So, it was totally a surprise!

The theme of the cakes was "serious male". So there were specky cakes, tie cakes and books in blue and cream colours. Hmm....is Papaya a "serious male" like that? I guess so. ;) Infact he was more a serious person 12 years ago than now. (tk sangka dh 12 thn i know him!! tapi still mcm tk knl sepenuhnya)

Last but not least, May Allah bless Papaya with wisdom, health, love, kindness, and most of all...wealth (hihihi), so that Papa can belanja us all to Germany!!

Happy Birthday Wafitos!!

Dah lama rasanya tak menulis tentang Wafitos. My eldest child, my one and only son setakat ini. Orang kata, anak yg sulung biasanya mempunyai hubungan yg rapat dgn ibu bapa. Based on my own experience, the eldest child in the family has always been more well-known among the relatives than other siblings. Entahlah, most probably because the eldest child's birth is usually more anticipated by excitement and welcomed with joy by other family members like grandparents , aunts and uncles, not to mention, the parents! Or there's also a possibility that parents usually spend more years of their life with the eldest child compared to the other children.

Ok. Back to Chichi a.k.a Wafitos. On 17th April, he celebrated his 8th birthday. Alhamdulillah, dah besar panjang anak mama mia ni. Memang makin panjang (tinggi) dan kurus. Muka pun dah makin ensem (heheh) dan nampak matang. (Nak cerita sikit ada ker cikgu kat sekolah dia tanya dia ni mcm org dari luar negara? buat mama mia perasan jer...hihihi)

A week before his birthday, Chichi had started asking me about his birthday cake. Actually, I had never thought of celebrating his birthday this year. It was not about buget constraints, but more to m.a.l.a.s. and "tak masuk kepala yg berserabut nie". But, since he kept on asking for a birthday cake to be shared with his friends at school almost every day, I decided to order a special cake for that special occasion.

For the past several years, Wafitos celebrated his birthday at my parents house with my siblings and of course my parents. But this year, since his birthday fell on schoolday, he couldn't celebrate it with them back at my kampung. Thus, we decided to order some nice and scrumptious cakes to be shared with his classmates.

This time around, I ordered 30 pieces cupcakes from cupcakedazzle, an online shop for nice, creative cupcakes. Chichi and I browsed the blog together and at last, after spending almost an hour we agreed upon ordering EPL theme cupcakes! Tak sangka anak mama dh besar!
Dia dah tak nak beli cake spriderman or batman or any other superheroes he used to adore like previous years. Now, he knows about EPL !! What a big boy he is now!

The cupcakes were soooo cute and creatively decorated, I took some pics but right can't recall where did I transfered those pics, (in which laptop, cos we have 3 laptops now at home). Will scout for them afterwards.

So, Chichi brought the cupcakes and share them with his friends at school. At home, no celebration at all, even Mama Mia also didn't manage to create a birthday card for him. Sorry dear son...Mama Mia was so busy lately. Hope u don't mind.

Mama wish u a very prosperous year ahead, semoga menjadi anak soleh yg beriman, taat kepada Allah dan Rasul, taat kepada ibu bapa, berjaya dunia akhirat dan bersedia memperjuangkan Islam dan Shari'ah.

Happy Birthday son! I love u soo much. You will always have a special place in my heart!

Happy 5th Birthday Afafita....

For the past few years, Afafita's birthday fell in the month of Ramadhan. But this year, her fifth birthday fell on the 6th Syawal....so this time around, she had the chance to celebrate it. However, we didn't make a merry and grand celebration. It was just a small family cutting cake ceremony, for the purpose of taking some pictures. No balloons, no presents, no candle-blowing, no friends invited. My sisters bought a medium size blueberry cake and after singing the birthday song, we ate the cake! My dad's birthday is on 7th October, a day after Afafita's. So it was a celebration for them both.

Anniversary Celebration & Birthday Papat

Our wedding anniversary is celebrated on 20th July annually. Our anniversary is so special because we share the same wedding date with my parents. So, we usually celebrate it together..with the whole family. It may sounds unromantic, but its kinda nice to celebrate our special day and strolling down the memory lane of our wedding day with our beloved family members. But of course, we still can have our own private celebration if we really want to. However, as a matter of fact, we never celebrate our wedding anniversary as others do; no candle-lite dinner in a fancy restaurant of hotels, no special moments of exchanging valuable presents, no second time honeymoon getaway to a secluded resort or whatsoever. The fact that hubby still remembers the date he married me eight years ago is considered one of the life's blessings. (you know, men do forget their wedding date)

I have to confess that eventhough I never bother about how are we going to recall the sweetest and memorable day in our marriage before, but this year, I kinda feel quite excited about the anniversary. In fact, I had this plan of celebrating it "officially" with my husband (and not to forget the two kids too) at Cameron Highland or somewhere suitable. I don't know why, maybe the high estrogen level in me as the result of the pregnancy had really turned me to a more "loving" and "appreciative" wife! (hahahha)

So, I silently planned this special vacation in my head, trying to imagine how sweet it would be to really celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary away from home and house chores! But still, Allah's plan overruled mine. And there must be reasons behind His Will. I couldn't fulfill my dream, and as usual, I went back to my kampung that particular weekend, to spend the anniversary day with my parents and family.

Since the plan have changed, I didn't longer bother about the celebration. But as we reached kampung, my mom told me that she wanted to hold a very small, family-only belated birthday celebration for Papat (my only nephew). So, we did a barbecue on Saturday nite and bought a yummy Secret Recipe cake for Papat. (Of course, he didn't each much, we were the one who finished up the whole cake) Despite the no-mood for wedding celebration, I still managed to go to a nearby shopping mall on Saturday morning to buy cards for my hubby and my parents.

So...here are some of the pics at Papat's birthday party.

Afafita's Birthday Album

Happy Birthday Afafita..!!

On 6th October 2007, my darling Afafita turned 4. Happy Birthday, sweetheart! Mama, Papa, Abang, Mak, Jaddun, and everybody wishes you a blessed and successful year ahead. We pray for your health, happiness, safety and prosperity. May Allah fulfill your ambitions and needs, may you grow up as a true Mu'minah and may you be a 'solehah' daughter of us!

For two consecutive years, afafita's birthday falls in Ramadhan. So we can't really hold a big birthday party or celebrate this special day with many other people. So, this time around, a very small cutting cake ceremony was held at home on 7th October after
tarawih. Since afafita's jaddun (grandpa) was also celebrating his 63th birthday on 7th October, so it was a two-in-one celebration.

Mama bought two small cakes. One was for home celebration, and the other was to be shared with friends at school on Monday, 8th October. Both cakes were sponge chocolate blueberry layered cakes . They looked nice and surely tasted delicious. At home, the celebration was so simple and 'down -to-earth'. No balloons, no candle blowing session, and the dishes were only the small cake, fruits and drinks. In fact, this has been our family tradition or way of celebrating birthdays of our family members. Most importantly, we pray for the best for the person.

Those who shared Afafita's happiness and excitement on that night included Mak, Jaddun, Mama, Papa, Wafitos, Untie, Uncle, Cik Dila (an aunt cum nanny for the past few months) the new bibik (maid) and last but not least....the new kid on the block, Iffato Zaimo, afafita's new 3 months old cousin whom she really loves, adores and regards as her own brother. Last year, we also invited Haziq, Faris and their parents
to join the party, but unfortunately, this year they couldn't come since they have moved to Saarland, Germany last December.
